Never one for the shy and retiring, for AW12 Holly Fulton's woman is channelling a little bit of Lady Chatterley. She's been losing herself in the heady atmosphere of the Estate's hothouses and her frivolous behaviour is written all over her lightly perspiring face.

Forget the Lord of the Manor, she's had her eye on the gardener for years. A hybrid Stepford Wife/saucy French beatnik-brunette, defined cheekbones and come-to-bed eyes are the order of the day. A high level of sophistication prevails with classic layering all translated into a contemporary look. Fulton has drawn inspiration from glasshouses - the resulting aesthetic is taken from the feeling of a steamy hedonism within them. Exotic palms and creatures flourishing in the damp humidity are all referenced in the collection. Each piece and its placement has been heavily considered, just as one does when trying to catch someone's eye…

Focusing on a restricted pallette, the AW12 Collection explores the depth that can be achieved by utilising multiple tones of a single colour. Rainbows, the graphics of psychedelic Pop Artist Peter Max, Edinburgh's Botanic Gardens and the notion of what defines chic have all been used as inspiration points for the collection. A spectrum of hues and the layering of colour-on-colour have resulted in an intensely bold, eclectic collection. Accessories pair the vision with multiple tones and an array of materials.

Fulton's highly desirable graphic signature is seen throughout the Collection with AW12 showcasing a range of new avenues in terms of silhouette and execution. Holly Fulton's label continues to consolidate the bold aesthetic with which the label is synonymous.
